August 2025
The REIL application for the Whyte Yarcowie Wind Farm was recently open for public consultation and we thank those that took the time to make a submission to the Department for Energy and Mining (DEM). The public consultation period finished on 1st August 2025.
The project team are in the process of reviewing the submissions from community and government agencies, and will be working in the coming months to respond to the matters raised in the submissions before an updated Environmental Impact Report (EIR) and Statement of Environmental Objectives (SEO) are submitted to DEM.
Following the project’s response to the community and government agency submissions, and the updated EIR and SEO, the Minister for Energy will decide whether to grant the project a Licence, as well as any conditions which apply to the granting of a Licence.
