We are pleased to share that the Renewable Energy Infrastructure Licence (REIL) application for the Whyte Yarcowie Wind Farm is now out for public consultation.
The REIL application has been prepared under the Hydrogen and Renewable Energy Act 2023 to assess the environmental impacts of the proposed project, and the statement of environmental objectives (SEO) provides transparency about the licensee’s required environmental performance.

The public consultation period for the Whyte Yarcowie Wind Farm will close on 01/08/2025.
At the conclusion of the consultation period, DEM will collate the submissions and may request the Whyte Yarcowie Wind Farm project team to respond to matters raised in submissions.
Following the project’s response to the community and government agency submissions, the Minister for Energy will decide whether to grant the project a Licence, as well as any conditions which apply to the granting of a Licence.
